    The result of the first Summer match of 2015 can be viewed  in the Matches page. 
    Saturday 04th April 2015
    Lowther Avenue  North Wall.

    Flat calm and sunny made for a pleasant day weather wise, but meant the fishing was slow with close in scratching for bites the order of the day.
    Les and Vinny going fish to fish with Vinny landing a last cast Flounder of 420 grms to edge ahead.

    Next Match Lytham Fairlawn Road Sunday 19th April draw 1000 am.

  • Shore Matches 2015 (Summer)
    Shore Matches: 2015 Summer fixtures:
    I Have finally  put together a list for shore matches starting this April. Dates times and venues etc 
    Check them out in the Matches section on the left  

    Please read  or print out a copy of the SSA Shore match Rules and Recommendations
    Before entering any shore matches. 

    Format is catch and release, all qualifying fish over 18cm to be recorded on match cards. 
    No minimum hook sizes. 

    Lady and Junior members most welcome.

    The competitors may hold a separate Heaviest Fish "prize" competition on the day, with optional entry fee.

  • Boat Match12th February:
      Results as follows,
                                                               First D Sharples 488cms 110points.
                                                               Second J Sharples 305cms 73points.
                                                               Third H Parker 161cms 43points.
                                 Eight Anglers on the Boat Trip only Three were interested in the CMS and POINTS. We fished three marks during the 8 hour trip, first mark The Desert has Andy the skipper described it. Second Lune Buoy and thirdly 13 Buoy our last end of day mark. Fishing was patchy with Plaice to 37cms, Flounder to 35cms, Dogfish and Dabs to 28cms comprising the mixed bag.The Money for the largest fish went to M Metcalf with 37cm Plaice well done to Malcolm, the Plaice in size were 10 in total, the Flounder 12 in total, 2 Dogfish and numerous Dabs.  Everyone enjoyed a good laugh with a lots of leg pulling and Coffee provided by Andy, looking forward to the next, tight lines.
