  • Pier Match Results:
The scores have been checked and are now in for the 9th match of the season.

Cod or points, that was the tale on Sunday,
Thank you to the dirty dozen who braved high winds and hail storms to take part.
The Codling made a pleasant appearance with several anglers catching in- size fish.
The most in- size codling I have seen from the pier during a match for several years !.
Also of note were the size of the Whiting, some of 38cm+.

Now the painful bit, Well done to match winner John Sharples with a double whammy over me, taking John to the top of the table.
Next match(weather permitting) is this Friday 12th Dec 11.45 draw.
    See you there,

  • Pier Match results:
The Scores are in for the 8th Pier Match.

The fishing stepped up a gear from last week, with 25+ fish required on your card to get in the prizes.
Small dabs, bigger Whiting, Dogfish and Rockling made up the points, lots of smaller fish were returned.
Well done Dave (silent but deadly) Hoyle, who filled his card to take victory.

The trial run of the new fish limits of 20 cm min, seems to have been well received so far this year with more fish scoring points.
Next match Sunday 7th December.See you there.
