          • Latest Boat trip: August
A bright and breezy day with some fierce rain showers. Steamed all the way to the North end of Walney island and then drifted back across the bay.Despite the large area covered, nine rods could only pick up five Cod, seven Dogfish a few Mackeral, one Smouthound and a "Bull Rouge"
This ugly thing is full of spines and looks similar to a Scorpion Fish
and is 10inches long. No Bullhuss, no Tope, no Bass.!!! What a contrast to the July 22nd.trip !! The skipper remarked that no Jelly Fish were visible. Perhaps an indication that the warm waters and the fish were further west off Ireland? Also the bait diggers reported the sands covered in a layer of slimy Algae. Tropical Storm Bertha plus the 10metre tides will stir things up ?        Cheers Jack.
