* PLEASE NOTE* All matches take PRECEDENCE over pleasure fishing.
You can still fish the Pier during match times, but will be asked to fish on the opposite side or on the ends of  the match boundaries for the duration of the match.




Recent announcements

  • 13th Pier Match Results:
    Wednesday 21st January.

    Flat calm and clear water conditions made for poor returns, with only 8 members with fish to go on there cards,
    It turned in to a Flounder hunt,with only a couple of Dabs caught.

    Best flounder was 42cm and 600g for yours truly.
    A last cast Flounder that threw the hook but luckily landed on the deck gave victory to Dave H.

    The final Pier match of 2014/15 is this Sunday 25th  1230 draw.

  • 12th Pier Match Results:
    Wednesday 07th saw the first match of 2015, fished off the bullnose in a strong wind, fortunately the rain held off until the end. 
    Once again Large Whiting and Dabs made up the catches with only a single Codling caught.
    20 fish were required to get in the prizes with match winner Les filling his card with a very respectable 931cm.
    Fish of the day was a Whiting of 42cm and 620g or 1lb 5oz to John Sharples, proper fish and very tasty , cheers pal.
    Only two matches left now.
    the penultimate match is Wednesday 21st 0900 draw.

  • 11th Pier Match results:

    Double headers from the off, 2 cards needed by most of the nine hardy members who fished the evening match.
    Codling, Large Whiting one at 41cm, superb and fat Dabs two at a time.

    The top three with over 1000 points. 

    Match Winner Eddie (the wall) Horrocks with an amazing 1477 points, super match fishing mate.
    Probably the highest score for a North Pier match ever? 
    Closely followed by John Sharpels and Dave H. with 1279 and 1270 respectfully. 
    Wish i could have been there.

    Looking good for the XMAS MATCH.

    PS: Reports of a double figure Cod lost at the net by members pleasure fishing.
